The Kensington Temple Institute of Education The Kensington Temple Institute of Education (KTIOE) is the umbrella that covers all the training that takes place in the Kensington Temple London City Church network. You can see all of the training that we seek to offer in KTIOE in the diagram. KTIOE includes our International Bible Institute of London (IBIOL) and the Kensington Temple School of Performing Arts (KTPAS).
It was over three years ago whilst having tea with Pastor Colin that he invited me to come for a season to KT as Principal of IBIOL. I had been planning on moving to Manila but we could both see that the Lord was in this. I initially gave Colin a commitment of two years but then that turned into three. I had always dreamed of living in London and working closely with KT - you all know that I consider you to be one of the best churches in the world. The dream had come true! I have loved the three years that I have been here and I really feel IBIOL is pioneering something very special - training that fits you for active Christian ministry and lifestyle, yet with national accreditation for those that want it. So often Christian training sells its birth right and Spirit-given mandate for secular accreditation but not so with IBIOL. I believe we are near to pioneering a training model that will be adopted all over Europe and even throughout the world.
I am going to focus full time on my worldwide ministry and also on a new God's Generals series I am creating for Christian media. I still have a heart for pioneering a new church with training at its core, but where and when the Lord has yet to show me. KT is my family here in Britain and you will still see me visiting as frequently as I have been over the last 25 years. I want to thank Pastor Colin and Amanda and everyone at KT for giving me the opportunity to serve here during this season and for all their love and support.
The KT Senior Leadership will be directing IBIOL until a new Principal is found and wish to express their gratitude on behalf of Kensington Temple to Roberts for his ministry within IBIOL and also the wider church over the last three years.
Our full time first and second year diplomas require college attendance Monday to Friday from 9am- 1pm as well as active ministry in the church on weekends and certain evenings. The Diplomas focus on strong theological and practical ministry training with an emphasis on the student's personal spiritual development.
By the time of our new student intake in September the DCM will be validated by NCFE at Level 4 and transferable for further educational requirements. This level 4 diploma will consist of 120 credits.
Higher Diploma of Christian Ministry (2nd year) Normally this would be a student's second year at IBIOL as a major focus of the diploma is advanced leadership training. The HDCM will also be validated at Level 4 with 120 credits.
This autumn we will be offering both validated and non-validated evening courses so that we have full flexibility to meet everyone's training needs at KT.
Of course in co-operation with the IBIOL you can take credits from both daytime and evenings and even online courses to build towards a Diploma.
Our Kensington Temple School of Performing Arts offers both full time and Saturday courses in the Performing Arts. KTPAS facilitates training for all abilities and experience levels.
