The KTLCC Business Forum exists to tackle the giant by influencing those in business. We bring together successful business people with those that aspire to be successful in business - small business owners, those with a career in mid-sized or larger organisations, business students, or those simply interested in business. The Forum is led by a group of talented and successful business people from within KTLCC and we have come into contact with hundreds of KTLCC members through our training, mentoring, and relationships.

2010 will continue to see the momentum built in recent years by a series of short courses held throughout the year. The topics taught during the year are selected by those that have attended past courses, or based on specific feedback from the congregation. We also stay close to what the needs are, so for example, on Pastor Colin's encouragement, have coached dozens on how to go about a career change, job search, developing a high-impact CV, or being well prepared for interviews. Our short courses are not just training courses, but the start of a journey between many of our experienced leaders, and those willing to learn, and eager to follow through.
Our training topics in 2010 will continue to focus on Small Business Start-ups, Marketing for Small Businesses, Personal Financial Management, Investments, Job hunting, CV writing, and Interview Skills. Additionally, one of the Business Forum leaders leads the KTLCC job club, bringing together those that are on the journey of job hunting, in the spirit of accountability and ensuring follow up is taking place. At the KTLCC Business Forum, we pride ourselves in only showcasing practitioners -those that have been on the journey before, and can demonstrate past success. The glittering talent from our church includes Shakti Sisodia, a senior recruiter, small business owners Ken Ajoku, Bola Akinseye, Dr. Aderemi Banjoko, Lucilda Stewart and Kunbi Adeola, and senior corporate manager Deji Anibaba. Marketing professional and professor Baba Awopetu leads the marketing short course. Also complementing this list is Dr. Solomon Osagie, a lawyer that has advised many clients on small businesses, and KT's Director of Business, Ron Salamat, experienced in large corporations, and one who has conducted hundreds of interviews prior to joining KT.
Why such a professionally talented cast volunteering their time to coach and mentor congregational members in business? Because we feel God has called us be successful in the business place and see your work locations as a vineyard full of fruit. What a better testimony than to demonstrate godly principles and outstanding results at work! Our first short course for 2010 is 'Customer Winning Marketing for Small Businesses' to be held at Summit House on Saturday 6th February - hope you can join us!
