Restoring the Temple

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously towards the Restoring the Temple Appeal.

In Thanksgiving Day 2009 we were able to announce that the Restoring the Temple Appeal had reached its £700,000 target. It is a reflection of the remarkable giving by the members and friends of KT.

So far we have been able to complete and vital restoration projects. First, scaffolding went up at the front of the building as we restored the crumbling façade, then it went up over the roof and at the sides as we repaired the roof and the external fire escapes - at the same time we rebuilt some of the boundary walls. And finally, scaffolding went up inside the building as we redecorated the now waterproofed interior. More information on these projects can be found in past copies of Revival Times on our website www.revivaltimes.org.

More projects are on their way for 2010 including renovations to the lower hall, toilet and bookshop areas - details of these and other works will be given in future editions of Revival Times as they are due to begin. We are also looking at designs for the donors' plaque. We would like to thank you for your continuing patience with the restoration work, throughout this time we have been able to hold Revival meetings every night of the week without interruption - due to the diligence of our contractors and the dedication of our congregation.
