As a church we love to support and help people who want to find out more about God. The Kids Ministry Team is always ready and willing to assist you and your children find their place in the wider family of God.
Every child is part of a cell group. Every Sunday about 35 children’s cell groups meet just across the road from Kensington Temple in David Game College. This group is the place where children get to meet other children their age and to learn more about God.
On the 2nd Saturday every month we have a special meeting for families, babies, children and young people aged 10-14yrs in Kensington Temple throughout the day. These events are lively and fun places where children from all across the city of London get together.
The children also have days and weekends away and special activities throughout the year. From sponsored walks to boat trips, from family days to concerts we try to provide a wide variety of activities for the children in our care.
We also have an established leadership programme to help selected children develop into leaders. Here are some testimonies from the children who participated in the School of Leaders Level 1 this summer:
“During the prayer time, my teacher asked us to pray for the Notting Hill Carnival and gave us each a prayer point. My prayer point was ‘preaching’. We all had to focus and be ready to receive from the Holy Spirit about our prayer point. I told my teacher that God has never showed me anything or said anything to me when I prayed. My teacher asked the whole group to read Jeremiah1:4-9 and believe God’s Word. As we started praying I saw a light, even with my eyes closed. The light grew brighter and brighter. I shared this with the prayer group then my friend said she heard KT pastor preach about people in darkness will see a great light. I want to share Jesus to all my friends and have started my cell.” - Tyanna aged 11
“My prayer point was ‘salvation’. I learnt during the School of Leaders that I should pray with my Bible as it is the sword of the Spirit and prayer time is warfare. I read the Bible and God showed me Matthew 4:19. Suddenly I started singing ...I will make you fisher of men.” – Naomi aged 10
“During the last day of School of Leaders God showed me a picture of lamp, it was my first experience to see a picture when I prayed. A friend in my class reminded me that the Bible says the word of God will be a lamp upon my feet and light onto my path. I am so happy that I obeyed my mother to attend the School of Leaders and have grown closer to God. ” - Jayde aged 9
We believe that each child is special to God and we desire to see them grow with Him. Jesus said “Let the little children come to me.” This can only happen when daddies, mummies, grandparents, uncles and aunties partner Jesus in training children in the ways of the Lord so that when they grow up they will not depart from it. Encourage children to be leaders TODAY not just in the future as they too can lead their friends to Jesus today.
