It is always a great encouragement and inspiration to hear of what the Lord is doing amongst the members of Kensington Temple. In this month when we make a special effort to give thanks to God for his goodness Revival Times shares some of the testimonies that we have collected from our Living Free! and Mastering Leadership students.
When I first heard of the Living Free! course I was quite sceptical but as I submitted myself to the Holy Spirit that God had a major heart work to do. He started to deal with stuff in my past that I had literally brushed under the carpet. He has shown me what it is to be a woman of integrity, continually shaped by his grace, learning my identity.
When I finished that I joined Mastering Leadership. There I learned the dynamics of opening a fruitful cell, the friendship factor, pastoral care, having a servant heart, accountability and having responsibility. Having a plan and then acting on it! During this time I have seen my cousin and her boyfriend accept Christ as their saviour in KT. They have both become active members of their church. My relationship with my mother has been restored, I have seen God provide in financial situations and I have seen him break a generational curse. This season He has changed my mindset too. I am overwhelmed by the thought of opening a cell, but all things are possible to those who believe! I believe that God wants me to step out of my comfort zone and start aligning myself to his will, his vision and the vision of this house. I believe that blessings and fruitfulness come to those who continually submit to his will.
I feel very expectant, like a geyser that is ready to explode. Like a small blood clot that has been disintegrated and cells are allowed to flow freely. I know that God has called me to work and I know that he who began a good work in me is faithful to complete it.
I am a member of the Father’s House KTLCC satellite church led by Pastor Bob Jarrett and joined the Living Free! course in the spring and since then there’s been a real interest shown by my work friends. I am a dancer and dance for a group called Flawless and recently a member of the group gave his life to Christ.
I think the impact of God and Living Free! has really strengthened me and inspired those around me. I hope to continue and impact more people to Christ.
I came to Kensington Temple a few years ago. At the first service I attended I could not stop crying and accepted Jesus as my saviour. Following this I did not root myself in church or God’s word and I did not join a cell so I stumbled and lost my way. However, the Lord is my shepherd and he did not lose me! I came back and continued to attend church. I started Living Free!, joined a cell group and through my cell leader and fellow cell sisters have been shown the importance of committing myself to the Lord – and of working for him
Living Free! has enabled me to grow in the word of God, to focus my life and to constantly look to Jesus and not to myself. He is my strength. I am excited about starting Mastering Leadership and to working for Christ and becoming an active disciple.
I ‘stumbled’ into leading my open cell - or at least I thought so in the beginning! I was meeting two of my Evangelism of 3 at least once a month for a meal at Nandos. I was sharing and ministering and transferring what I was learning in Living Free! and Mastering Leadership to them. It did not dawn on me that this was already an open cell. My cell leader pointed this out to me and that’s when I realised how God was already working through me, even when I didn’t realise it. Being willing and open to Gods will and to what he has called me to do, opened the doors to cells and spreading the gospel. I give all glory to God for the work he has begun in me and I pray that I finish what he has enabled me to start.
My life has changed tremendously in the past year and the Lord is doing wonderful things in my life. I gave my life to Jesus Christ on 11th October 2009. I was on fire for God so I got water baptised on 31st January 2010 !
This year all my Evangelism of 3 have come to know Christ, praise the Lord! The rest of the list of 10 are on their way so I am believing for them all to come to Christ by the end of 2011. This is all because of the Mastering Leadership training which equipped me to be fruitful not only in the area of evangelism but also in all aspects of my life. Now I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
